The Center for Health, Work & Environment at the Colorado School of Public Health is one of six Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health® and houses the Mountain & Plains Education and Research Center, one of 18 centers of its kind supported by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Our mission is to advance worker health, safety, and well-being. Through our Education and Research Center, we educate, and fund the training of, future occupational health and safety leaders. We also provide financial support for innovative pilot studies in the western United States and offer continuing education courses for professionals.

The Center provides continuing education credits through a variety of credentialing entities including Continuing Medical Education (CME), Board of Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), just to name a few. In addition, most major credentialing entities also accept a certificate of course completion submitted for continuing education credit.

One advantage of choosing the Center as your online educational provider is our association with the Colorado School of Public Health and the University of Colorado. Although, we are not part of the CU online program, which delivers college credit, we hold the same university credentials through our affiliation.
