Overview
In today’s high-paced world, most employers will face a major crisis at some point whether it be due to a fatality or serious incident. Being prepared ahead of time can make all the difference as to how well a company and a safety professional can weather the crisis and come out on the other side. The presentation will walk through the steps of an emergency response plan including: agency reporting, scene and document preservation, family assistance, conducting the internal investigation, and media coverage. The safety professional will leave the presentation with the top 10 things to do as soon as a crisis hits in order to maintain order and work with reporting agencies.
Instructor Bio
Kristin White is a member of Jackson Kelly, and manages the Denver office. She focuses her practice on occupational safety and health and employment law. She counsels and defends clients in regulatory workplace safety matters and regularly acts as crisis management counsel for employers in all industry sectors.
