This 1-hour lesson will provide the occupational health nurse with an overview of the evidence supporting workplace health promotion and strategies for programs, policies, and practices directed at employees and employers.
This module is part of the 19-module OHN Prep Course Package.
Learning Objectives:
● Discuss the burden of health on work and the burden of work on employee health.
● Define workplace health promotion and disease prevention.
● Identify health risks, hazards, and assessments.
● Discuss models for health promotion and disease prevention.
● Discuss provisions in the ACA, ADA, and EEOC.
● Identify the levels of disease prevention at work.
● Discuss health education and principles of adult learning.
